Observe, Conserve and Preserve the Beauty All Around You…”
77th Annual Meeting of the New England Region
OUR PROGRAMS
MONDAY EVENING - We will be featuring “Music In Bloom, the power of music combined with the drama of Floral Design…” as our program on Monday evening, so after dinner, just sit back, relax and enjoy a piano concert of music from “The Phantom of the Opera” while our presenter creates floral designs to the movement. Floral designer Priscilla Styer and pianist Linda Paulet of Haverhill, MA will “fill your spirit with visual interpretation in floral splendor and sensual completion.”; What a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the combined art of floral design and classical music.
TUESDAY MORNING - Following the business meeting, all six of our sister states will be represented in a mini-series (think “Speed Dating”) of informative educational programs based on the Director’s theme: “Observe, Conserve and Preserve the Beauty All Around You…” The topics will include “New England Birds & Butterflies”, “Going Green”, “Recycle and Reuse”, “ Historical Gardens”, “the Asian Longhorned Beetle: Deadly But Beautiful” and “Preserving Natural Habitats”.
THE 44th NER SYMPOSIUM
Please join us for the New England Region’s 44th Symposium, sponsored by the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts which will immediately follow the NER Annual Meeting. The symposium instructors will be Master FS Judges Gina Jogan of Molino, FL and our own Sandra Joyce of Hudson, MA and Tony Tedesco of Stow, MA. Among her numerous credentials, Gina is an Instructor in Floral Design Study Schools (a Bob Thomas creation) and an NGC Gardening Consultant and Landscape Critic; Sandra is an NGC Accredited Flower Show Procedure, Horticulture and Symposia Instructor; Tony is an extremely talented floral designer and lecturer both nationally and internationally.
